Irv Gotti is moving Forward

You all know the story of Irv Gotti, hip hop producer/label owner on top of the world until the 2003 emergence of 50 Cent brought them down.

Then, the feds came and searched his label offices due to a money laundering scandal and rumors of the label being started off of drug money from Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff.

Now, Irv Gotti is looking to move forward, Murder Inc. has lost two all-stars in the form of Ashanti and Lloyd, but Ja Rule is still on board as is Newz.

In 2009, Gotti promises new albums from Newz and Ja Rule.

Back in May, Irv Gotti dropped Ashanti due to her resistance to take part in the “family of Murder Inc.” Now, Murder Inc.’s new princess is Ashley Joi.

Only a few weeks ago, Lloyd expressed his interests in leaving Murder Inc. also, but he insists that it is nothing personal as he is thankful for Irv Gotti helping him early in his career.

Despite the adversity in his personal and professional life, Irv Gotti remains confident that he can win it all back. That much is evident if you watch his VH1 reality show, “Gotti’s Way,” currently in its second season.

Gotti has announced that he is no longer working with Universal Motown, due to the mishandling of projects from Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Lloyd. He is now looking to reunite with Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, and Jay-Z at Warner Music.

Will Irv Gotti return to the top in 2009?
