Tyler Perry refused to be in Forbes List
Back in May, Forbes released a list of the richest African-Americans. The list included the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Bob Johnson, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, and Sheila Johnson.
One person notable missing was Tyler Perry. The reason was not due to Perry losing money, nor was he forgotten, he just chose not to take part.
The last time that his net worth was revealed, Tyler Perry turned out to be worth $646 million. To the average person, that much money is a blessing to Perry, it was both a blessing and a curse.
People that had never had any contact with Perry before came out, claiming to be of relation to him. Because of his worth, people began bothering him.
Tyler Perry is also weary of mainstream America. His fear is that they may give him the treatment that they gave Michael Jackson after his net worth was revealed.
Perry has plans of developing more sitcoms for TBS and maybe some dramas for TNT.
