“The Way We Live,” the male version of “Girlfriends”
Last night, new sitcom, “The Way We Live,” debuted. It comes on Thursdays on True Black Television.
The sitcom was created by Rony Laurent and is produced by Laurent and TBT Productions.
Since its debut last night, it draws many comparisons to the UPN sitcom, “Girlfriends,” except on a lower budget.
The series stars Ray Musgrove, Rony Laurent, and Rodney Laurent.
Executives at True Black Television are definitely excited about the series, as is Laurent.
The show brought in a network-record 16,000 viewers last night for the series premiere, as “Girlfriends” set numbers for UPN.
At the rate the show is going, “The Way We Live” will become the longest-running black sitcom in TV history.
