Chris Rock to star in 2010’s “Grown Ups”

Overall, this has been a successful year for Chris Rock. Along the way, though, he did lose his sitcom, “Everybody Hates Chris,” to cancellation, but Rock has kept things moving.

Just this past week, he took over the fall entertainment headlines as if his show had returned for a fifth season. His film, Good Hair, featured many big-name stars and garnered Chris Rock and appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Rock even had the chance to feel the talk show queen’s good hair.

Chris Rock has experienced tremendous success with his documentary film, Good Hair, but he feels the need to keep things moving. Rock is already thinking about his next move, which will be another film. Filming closed on the film back in May, but promotion will not begin until next year.

Along with Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, Chris Rock will play in the comedy film, Grown Ups. The film is about five friends, the actors listed above, returning home to mourn the death of their high school basketball coach.

Since they are all together, they decide to spend their Fourth of July weekend together at the lakehouse where they celebrated their basketball championship thirty years earlier.

The film will be released to theaters on June 25, 2010.
