Even from the grave, Michael Jackson is setting Records
The year of 2009 was supposed to be the year that Michael Jackson made his great comeback. His plan was to tour the world for the last time. Simply said, This is It.
Sadly, this was it. Michael Jackson did not have the opportunity to tour the world and re-captivate his fans, but he returned to the top. Aside from the tour, Jackson was rumored to be at work on another album.
Immediately after his June 25 death, his music began to take over airwaves. Everything from his work with the Jackson 5 to Invincible was being played by almost everyone. As a result, sales of his old music received a great boost. Michael Jackson returned to the top.
Every entertainment company in existance either wanted to capitalize off of the death of Michael Jackson, or they actually did. Sony, the company that Jackson absolutely despised, obtained the rights to footage of Michael Jackson preparing for the tour at the Staples Center.
Seeing the money ideas waiting to be created, Sony decided to develop a film out of the footage. The final result is what is currently being experienced with the great sales of the films. Following that was the This Is It album from Michael Jackson that was released on October 26, 2009.
The King of Pop lives on.
